Ethical Naturals Inc. (ENI) will be focusing on recent positive developments for several of its key ingredients at SupplySide Global including recent published clinical studies.

AlphaWave L-Theanine is supported by three clinical studies suggesting increased alpha brainwave activity, relaxation, and cognitive benefits, making it suitable for stress relief supplements. It is GRAS affirmed in the U.S. and is the only L-theanine ingredient to be approved for use in Australia by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). It is water-soluble and stable at a range of temperatures and pH conditions.

GreenGrown glucosamine is produced through fermentation, making it sustainable. By contrast, most of the glucosamine imported into the U.S. is manufactured from shellfish production residue. GreenGrown is sourced from non-GMO corn glucose combined with a specific bacterium that produces a fermented liquid with usable levels of glucosamine. This is concentrated and purified into an eco-friendly, USP-grade, 100% vegetarian glucosamine which is molecularly identical to shellfish-derived material, but comes without environmental costs associated with shellfish production and is allergen-free. ENI developed a patented isotopic signature carbon tracing (ISCT) method which can detect the difference between shellfish- and fermentation-derived materials.

Cranberex 15% A-type PAC cranberry extract meets consumer demand for high-grade urinary tract health products. Studies conducted at Rutgers University compared AAA (anti-adhesion activity) and potency of Cranberex and other brands, demonstrating significant differences in AAA and health outcomes.

Another key product is Polyphenol-C, a premium non-GMO vitamin C with wide-spectrum berry polyphenols from grape, blueberry, cranberry, blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry. The product is a result of ENI’s long-term analytical and R&D work on polyphenol sources.

Cal Bewicke, ENI CEO, will be part of a panel of industry leaders in a panel discussion called “Supply chain challenges: Finding consistency through tariffs, AI, diversification, and politics” on Monday, Oct. 27 from 3:00-4:30 at Islander Ballroom H, Lower Level.
